1. Dual-Layer Construction
A soft outer layer of neoprene is sewn onto a 2.5 mm thick layer of tough #2 cotton canvas. This dual-layer construction allows us to provide a product that is soft in your dog’s mouth, but has the strength and durability to last and last.
2. Double-Stitched Seams
All of the seams on our products are double-stitched for added strength around the seams.
3. Filled with Safe, Non-Toxic Granulated Cork
We chose to use cork as a filler, rather than synthetic fiber of foam, for a variety of reasons:
- First and most importantly, cork is completely safe and non-toxic.
- Cork provides unsurpassed floatability; Treevers sit high in the water, making them easy for your dog to see and retrieve.
- Cork is naturally mold and mildew resistant.
- Cork is what gives Treevers such a unique feel.
- Cork is 100% renewable resource.
Environmentally Responsible
 We at Treevers have made a conscious decision to try and remain environmentally friendly. All of our canvas and neoprene is procured from the cutoffs (or scraps) leftover from the manufacture of larger items (wetsuits or tarps). If unused, these materials would simply be discarded.
In addition to the multiple performance benefits of using cork as our filling, the environmental benefits it provides in contrast to the synthetic filling found in many dog toys are great. One of the wonderful things about cork is that it is a completely sustainable resource. Cork is actually the bark of the cork tree. Once a year, the outer layer of bark is removed and made into cork products. The tree itself is not harmed, and it begins to grow another layer of bark, which will be harvested again the following year.
We’ve also chosen to use 100% recycled material for our packaging. We believe that it’s important for businesses to try and make a difference where they can, and that’s what we strive to do.
Care and Cleaning
Remove any loose threads or material that may develop over time. If your dog eventually reaches the cork filling, please discard. Treevers are completely washing machine safe. Wash on cold, and allow to air dry.
Tip
For teething puppies, try wetting your Treevers product. Then place it in a plastic freezer bag, and put the toy in the freezer for about two hours. Give the toy to your puppy, and watch the relief on their face!
